Role Description This is a part-time remote role for a Garment Pattern Maker – Women’s & Kids’ Western Wear. The role involves developing accurate patterns for women’s and kids’ western wear garments based on design specifications and measurements. Day-to-day responsibilities include creating and modifying patterns, checking fit, and collaborating with designers and technical teams to ensure proper construction and sizing. The pattern maker will translate design concepts into production-ready patterns, prepare pattern documentation, and support virtual fittings and sample reviews. The role may also involve using CAD tools and digital platforms to upload, share, and adjust patterns in coordination with remote teams.
Qualifications
Strong skills in Pattern Making and Pattern Design for women’s and kids’ western wear.
Proficiency in Fitting and garment construction evaluation to ensure accurate sizing and comfort.
Hands-on Sewing skills to validate patterns and understand practical construction methods.
Experience with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for digital pattern creation and modification.
Attention to detail, accuracy in measurements, and ability to interpret technical design specifications.
Ability to collaborate effectively with remote design and production teams using digital communication tools.
Prior experience in women’s and kids’ apparel, especially western wear, is highly beneficial.
Relevant training or certification in fashion design, pattern making, or apparel technology is preferred.
