Role Description The Pan Incharge (Pan Boiler) role is a full-time, on-site position based in India, responsible for overseeing pan boiling operations in the sugar manufacturing process. The Pan Incharge monitors and controls pan boilers, manages steam usage, and ensures optimal crystallization and production quality. This role involves supervising pan house staff, coordinating with power generation and utility teams, and maintaining accurate operational records and reports. The Pan Incharge follows safety and compliance procedures, supports preventive maintenance activities, and collaborates with technical teams to improve efficiency and reduce downtime. The position requires hands-on presence on the shop floor and active participation in shift operations.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Supervisory Skills and Team Leadership capabilities to manage pan house personnel and coordinate shift activities.
Candidates should possess experience in Power Generation and Power Plants, particularly in steam and utility systems supporting sugar manufacturing or similar industries.
Candidates should possess Project Management skills to support small improvement projects, process optimizations, and implementation of new operating procedures.
Relevant experience in pan boiling operations, sugar process technology, or industrial boiler systems is highly beneficial.
Knowledge of safety standards, industrial hygiene, and regulatory compliance in manufacturing environments is desirable.
Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Sugar Technology, or a related field, from a recognized institution is preferred.
Ability to work in rotating shifts, strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, and clear communication in relevant local languages and English are an advantage.
