Role Description This is a contract, on-site Mechanic role based in Jharkhand, India. The Mechanic will perform routine and corrective maintenance on heavy equipment and machinery, including inspection, diagnosis, and repair of mechanical issues. Daily tasks include conducting preventive maintenance, troubleshooting equipment faults, replacing or repairing mechanical components, and documenting work performed. The role involves collaborating with supervisors and operators to schedule maintenance, adhere to safety procedures, and ensure minimal interruption to operations. The Mechanic is expected to keep tools and work areas organized, follow company maintenance standards, and respond promptly to equipment breakdowns in the field.
Qualifications
Strong skills in Maintenance and Maintenance & Repair for mechanical systems and machinery.
Experience with Preventive Maintenance, including scheduled inspections and servicing of equipment.
Hands-on expertise working with Heavy Equipment, such as loaders, excavators, trucks, or similar machinery.
Proficiency in Troubleshooting mechanical and basic electrical issues to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
Relevant technical training or certification in mechanical engineering, automobile engineering, or industrial maintenance.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and maintenance instructions.
Commitment to workplace safety standards and proper use of tools and protective equipment.
Prior experience as a mechanic or maintenance technician in industrial, construction, mining, or similar environments is preferred.
