Director of Project Management

Role Description The Director of Project Management is a full-time remote role responsible for leading and overseeing complex forestry consulting projects from initiation through completion. This role coordinates project portfolios related to forest exploration, inventory, environmental impact assessments, and sustainable management planning, ensuring alignment with client goals and regulatory requirements. The Director will define project scope, timelines, and budgets, assign and guide project teams, and monitor progress to deliver projects on time and within budget. Day-to-day tasks include managing stakeholder communication, mitigating risks, improving project processes, and ensuring high-quality deliverables. The role also involves collaborating with senior leadership to refine project management standards, support business development efforts, and contribute to the continuous improvement of operational practices.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Project Management skills, including planning, execution, risk management, and stakeholder coordination.
Candidates should possess Program Management and Process Improvement skills to oversee multiple projects and optimize workflows across the organization.
Candidates should possess Budgeting skills to develop, manage, and monitor project and program financials.
Candidates should possess Team Leadership skills to guide multidisciplinary teams, foster collaboration, and support performance development.
Relevant experience in consulting, forestry, environmental management, or related fields is beneficial.
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote, cross-functional environment.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Project Management, Forestry, Environmental Science, Business Administration, or a related discipline is preferred.
Experience with project management tools and methodologies (e.g., PMBOK, Agile, or similar) and professional certifications (e.g., PMP, PgMP) are an advantage.
