Hawksworth is recruiting a Full Stack AI Engineer to join a growing technology company building a new AI-native digital platform for the Energy and Oil & Gas industry.
This is a genuinely hands-on engineering role working on a new platform that will integrate with some of the world's largest Energy organisations.
We're looking for an experienced Full Stack Engineer with strong modern software engineering skills and, importantly, hands-on experience building applications using AI/LLMs, agents and LLM APIs. Experience with Anthropic / Claude would be particularly attractive.
London – Flexible/Hybrid working
Up to £90,000 base + benefits including private medical

Essential skills and experience:
• Strong Node.js and JavaScript/TypeScript development
• React / Vite
• PostgreSQL
• Automated testing / TDD – ideally Jest / Vitest
• Git, pull requests and strong software engineering practices
• AI / LLM application development – agents, tools, integrations and LLM APIs, Anthropic/ Claude
• Azure DevOps / CI/CD experience
Experience across Microsoft Azure, Kubernetes, Entra ID, Bicep, Helm and Infrastructure as Code would be highly beneficial.
An Oil & Gas / Energy industry background
We're particularly interested in Software Engineers who enjoy building new technology rather than simply maintaining established applications. This is an opportunity to join early in the development of a new AI-focused platform, with further engineering hires planned as the team grows.
