The company supports OEMs, manufacturers, traders, and service providers through vendor onboarding, assessments, and tender participation, acting as a growth partner for organisations seeking to expand in the public sector. With strong expertise in government procurement and GeM operations, Bid Pilot offers vendor assessment support, tender management, GeM registration, and catalogue management services. The team also provides strategic procurement consulting to help businesses understand GeM policies, pricing strategies, and market dynamics for sustainable growth. Bid Pilot is committed to making government procurement accessible, transparent, and growth-driven so clients can focus on scaling while Bid Pilot manages complex GeM processes.
Role Description: This is a remote, contract role for a Business Development Intern. The intern will support lead generation efforts by identifying potential clients and opportunities within the GeM ecosystem and related government procurement segments. Daily tasks include conducting market and competitor research, maintaining prospect databases, and assisting in preparing outreach materials such as presentations, emails, and proposals. The role involves supporting communication with prospective and existing clients, handling basic inquiries, and coordinating follow-ups to strengthen relationships. The intern will collaborate with the business development team to track performance metrics, document learnings, and contribute ideas to improve growth strategies and client engagement.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to engage with clients, prepare clear outreach materials, and collaborate with internal teams.
Candidates should possess Customer Service skills to handle inquiries professionally, provide timely responses, and support relationship building.
Strong interest in business development, sales, or government procurement; prior exposure to B2B environments is an advantage.
Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage time effectively, and handle multiple tasks with attention to detail.
Proficiency with productivity tools (e.g., spreadsheets, presentation software, CRM or lead-tracking tools) is beneficial.
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Business, Management, Economics, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
