Game Editor / Cinematic Director

We’re looking for a creative and technically strong Game Editor / Cinematic Director to help shape and present our game teaser at a high level.
You’ll work closely with our game development team to capture gameplay, design cinematic sequences, edit footage, and turn raw game content into a polished, compelling teaser that communicates the game’s world, gameplay, atmosphere, and vision.
What You’ll Do
• Own the editing and cinematic presentation of the game teaser from raw footage to final cut
• Capture gameplay footage and cinematic sequences inside Unreal Engine 5
• Design the pacing, structure, transitions, camera movements, and overall visual flow of the teaser
• Create cinematic sequences using Unreal Engine’s Sequencer and camera systems
• Edit gameplay and cinematic footage into polished teaser videos and trailers
• Work closely with game designers, developers, artists, and the creative team to understand the intended experience
• Identify the strongest gameplay and cinematic moments and present them through compelling visual storytelling
• Add appropriate sound design, music, visual effects, transitions, titles, and other finishing elements
• Maintain a strong sense of cinematic composition, pacing, storytelling, and visual rhythm
• Iterate rapidly based on feedback and help establish the visual identity and presentation of the project
What We’re Looking For
• Strong experience in game editing, cinematic editing, filmmaking, or trailer production
• Excellent understanding of visual storytelling, pacing, and cinematic presentation
• Experience working with Unreal Engine 5, particularly Sequencer and cinematic cameras
• Strong proficiency with professional editing software such as DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Premiere Pro, or Final Cut Pro
• Good understanding of cinematography, composition, camera language, and shot design
• Ability to turn raw gameplay into a coherent, engaging, and visually compelling experience
• Strong attention to detail and a high bar for visual quality
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of the final presentation
Bonus Skills
• Experience creating game trailers, cinematic teasers, or vertical slices
• Experience with Unreal Engine’s Movie Render Queue
• Familiarity with Lumen, Nanite, Niagara, lighting, and cinematic rendering
• Experience with motion graphics, color grading, and sound design
• Basic understanding of game development and gameplay systems
• Experience working on ambitious or cinematic games
What You’ll Be Working On
An ambitious, cinematic game project built in Unreal Engine 5, where the quality of presentation is as important as the underlying technology.
You’ll have significant creative ownership over how the game is presented and how its story, atmosphere, gameplay, and visual identity are communicated to an audience.
