About the Role
Metrocart UK is expanding its logistics and freight network across the UK. We are seeking an ambitious, high-energy Business Development Executive Intern to help drive corporate client acquisition and strategic partnerships.
This role is ideal for sharp sales-minded professionals or logistics enthusiasts looking to gain hands-on experience, build high-value enterprise networks, and secure a clear pathway to permanent employment and future visa sponsorship opportunities in the UK.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Lead Generation: Identify, map, and prospect potential clients, B2B partners, and enterprise accounts seeking UK logistics, courier, or temperature-controlled transport services.
Strategic Networking: Build relationships and connect Metrocart with key decision-makers, freight forwarders, and logistics managers across major industry networks (including connections with major carriers such as FedEx, UPS, and top global/UK couriers).
Client Onboarding & Pitching: Conduct outreach, present tailored logistics solutions, and negotiate service terms for business accounts requiring specialized delivery or cold-chain/temperature-controlled transport.
Market Intelligence: Analyze UK logistics demand trends, identify niche markets (e.g., pharmaceuticals, perishable goods, multi-ethnic wholesale distribution), and develop targeted pitch strategies.
What We Are Looking For
Direct access to, or a strong ability to network with, logistics procurement decision-makers and major courier operators.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and B2B sales skills.
Strong understanding of UK domestic logistics, courier networks, or specialized cold-chain/temperature-controlled supply chains.
Proactive, target-driven mindset with the ability to operate independently.
