About the Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced Staff R&D / Product Development Engineer with strong expertise in quartz crystals, oscillators and frequency-control technologies to join our team in Taiwan.This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who wants to move beyond individual technical assignments and take broader technical ownership of a product portfolio. You will serve as a technical expert for crystal resonators and active oscillator technologies including XO, TCXO, VCXO and OCXO, supporting products throughout their lifecycle, from technology and product development through qualification, production, customer support and lifecycle management.The role sits at the intersection of R&D, product engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, quality, sales, marketing and customers, giving you the opportunity to influence both technology and business outcomes.
What You Will Do
Technical & Product Leadership
Serve as a technical expert for quartz crystal resonators and oscillator technologies.
Provide technical leadership across crystal, XO, TCXO, VCXO and OCXO products.
Support product development from concept, design and verification through qualification and production.
Evaluate technical solutions using engineering data and sound engineering principles.
Support product roadmap and lifecycle activities.
New Product Development
Support the development and introduction of new frequency-control products.
Define technical requirements, qualification plans and engineering validation activities.
Drive technical problem solving during development and product introduction.
Support successful transition of new products into manufacturing.
Manufacturing & Supplier Collaboration
Work closely with manufacturing and suppliers on product performance, process capability, yield and continuous improvement.
Provide technical support for qualification and engineering changes.
Investigate product and process issues and drive corrective technical solutions.
Identify opportunities for cost, yield, quality and reliability improvement.
Customer & Commercial Support
Partner with sales and marketing teams on customer technical requirements.
Support technical discussions and product selection.
Contribute technical expertise to design-win opportunities.
Support investigation and resolution of customer technical issues.
Global Collaboration
Work with engineering, manufacturing, quality, sourcing and commercial teams across different regions.
Communicate complex technical topics clearly to both engineering and non-engineering stakeholders.
Provide technical guidance and challenge solutions where appropriate.
Education
Bachelor's or Master's degree in: Electronics/Electrical Engineering, Physics and Materials Science
or a related technical discipline.
Technical Experience
Ideally, you will bring 8–10 years of relevant experience in frequency-control products, active electronic components or a closely related technology area.We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in:
Quartz crystal resonators
XO / SPXO
TCXO
VCXO
OCXO
Crystal and oscillator manufacturing processes
Product qualification and reliability
Frequency-control product testing
New product introduction
Product engineering and lifecycle management
Knowledge of crystal or oscillator manufacturing and qualification processes would be particularly valuable.
