Role Description The Assistant role at Abhishek Childcare is a full-time, on-site position based in Jamshedpur. The Assistant will support childcare staff in overseeing children’s daily routines, including playtime, learning activities, meals, and rest periods. Responsibilities include helping maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment, preparing materials for activities, and supervising children to ensure their safety and well-being. The Assistant will aid in guiding children’s behavior in a positive manner, support basic record-keeping related to attendance or activities, and communicate respectfully with parents and guardians when needed. The role also involves collaborating with the childcare team, following center policies, and participating in training or meetings as required.
Qualifications
Ability to provide attentive, compassionate care to children and support their emotional and social development.
Basic organizational and time-management skills to assist with schedules, activities, and classroom upkeep.
Effective communication skills to interact with children, colleagues, and families in a clear and respectful manner.
Capacity to follow instructions, work cooperatively in a team, and adapt to changing childcare needs.
Understanding of basic health, hygiene, and safety practices in a childcare setting.
Prior experience in childcare, early childhood education, or related fields is an advantage.
Minimum educational qualification: high school diploma or equivalent; additional childcare training is preferred.
Willingness to undergo any required background checks and comply with local childcare regulations.
