Role Description The Associate Therapist will provide individual and, when appropriate, family or group psychotherapy to clients via secure telehealth platforms in a remote capacity - in person option available in Los Feliz neighborhood of Los Angeles. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting intake assessments, developing treatment plans, documenting sessions in compliance with legal, ethical, and organizational standards, and coordinating care with other providers as needed. The role involves maintaining a consistent caseload, responding to client communications within agreed-upon timeframes, and participating in regular clinical supervision and team meetings. The Associate Therapist will also engage in ongoing professional development, remain current with best practices in mental health care, and contribute to a respectful, collaborative clinical
culture.
Qualifications
Active registration or associate-level license (e.g., ASW, AMFT, APCC) in good standing in the relevant jurisdiction, with eligibility to practice under supervision.
Graduate degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or a related mental health field from an accredited institution.
Demonstrated skills in conducting biopsychosocial assessments, formulating treatment plans, and providing evidence-informed psychotherapy to diverse populations.
Strong clinical judgment, ethical decision-making, and familiarity with professional standards, confidentiality requirements, and telehealth regulations.
Ability to maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in electronic health record systems and manage a remote caseload responsibly.
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and maintain therapeutic boundaries in a virtual environment.
Comfort with technology, including secure video platforms and basic troubleshooting for remote sessions.
Commitment to culturally responsive care, including working respectfully with people of varied backgrounds, identities, and experiences.
Willingness to participate in supervision, training, and case consultation, and openness to feedback and ongoing professional growth.
Experience providing telehealth services or working in outpatient mental health settings is preferred but not required.
