As RIIS, with its US HQ at Santa Monica, continues to grow its presence on the East Coast of the US, we are looking for a remote working, detail-driven, technically strong Project Manager focused on store construction and development. This role sits at the intersection of design, documentation, procurement, and execution, supporting the delivery of retail environments, rollouts, flagship locations, pop-ups and other branded spaces.
You will serve as a key connection point between our partners (clients), design teams, architects of record, consultants, vendors, and general contractors, ensuring each project is delivered in line with RIIS standards, client expectations, approved design intent, budget, and schedule. You bring a strong eye for design, solid construction documentation experience, and the organizational discipline to keep multiple complex projects moving from initial site survey through turnover.

Key Responsibilities
Design Development and Quality Control
· Review construction drawings at DD, CD, and IFC stages to ensure design accuracy, quality, and scope alignment.
· Support the onboarding of external architects and new general contractors to ensure alignment with RIIS and client project standards from day one.
· Assist with design adaptation to the US requirements and construction documentation in close coordination with internal teams, and external partners.
· Ensure in-house design and purchasing teams stay on schedule and receive the information needed to complete drawings.
· Execute 3D scans of new locations our partners intend to lease.
· Manage and coordinate communication with internal and external stakeholders in Europe and the US.
Construction Administration
· Manage preconstruction activities, including coordinating permit information with the expeditor, confirming utilities are available at possession, distributing project contact lists, and notifying relevant teams of construction commencement.
· Create construction budgets and ensure store design modifications are communicated to all stakeholders and reflected in budget updates.
· Manage the bid phase, including reviewing and negotiating proposals, preparing general contractor bid-leveling analyses, confirming required materials with our inhouse team.
· Regular visit of construction sites as required to confirm execution aligns with approved design intent and quality.
· Track and maintain project costs and schedules through invoice pre-approval and milestone trackers for each project.
· Coordinate with client, partner, and operations teams to ensure accurate construction implementation and sharp schedules.
· Take ownership of the schedule and actively address / solve upcoming challenges to the schedules. Communicate all updates to internal and external stakeholders.
· Ensure all owner-furnished materials are ordered and delivered to the jobsite according to the construction schedule.
· Collect project digital and hardcopy files, including permit approvals, certificates of occupancy, and closeout documentation, and ensure all financial closeout documents are complete, accurate, and timely.
Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise
What You’ll Bring
· Bachelor’s degree in architecture, Interior Design, Construction Management, or a related field.
· 6+ years of experience in retail construction management, store development, or experiential environments.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Project for scheduling, milestone tracking, and project reporting.
· Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple active projects in a fast-paced environment without losing sight of the details.
· Ability to travel as required for site meetings, construction quality assurance, and project meetings.
· Strong communication skills: clear, concise, and proactive with both internal teams and external partners.
· A proactive, adaptable, solutions-first mindset. You bring the solution to the problems.
· A sharp eye for construction quality, scheduling risks and mitigation of delays.
· Genuine passion for retail, hospitality and design.
· You are based in the greater New York or Philadelphia area.
· Experience in working remotely.
