Connect APAC are delighted to partner with one of Australia's leading FMCG Food Manufacturers in their search for a State Key Account Manager (Food Service). The role is responsible for driving new business development and end-user engagement within a territory stretching from the CBD to the South of NSW. This role focuses on building strong relationships with foodservice operators across segments such as hospitality, pubs & clubs, contract catering, healthcare, and education, identifying opportunities to expand distribution and increase product penetration.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify and pursue new business opportunities across foodservice operators and key accounts within the territory.
Build a strong pipeline of potential customers through prospecting, networking, and industry engagement.
Convert opportunities into ongoing business through effective product demonstrations, menu solutions, and commercial proposals.
Drive product adoption with end users to generate pull-through demand via distributor partners.
Build and maintain strong relationships with chefs, foodservice operators, procurement teams, and key decision-makers.
Provide product knowledge, menu ideas, and operational solutions that support customer needs.
Conduct regular customer visits to strengthen relationships and identify growth opportunities.
Support customers with product trials, menu development, and implementation.
Work with foodservice distributors to ensure effective supply and distribution of products to end users.
Support distributor sales teams with product training, joint customer visits, and sales opportunities.
Ensure pricing and trading terms are implemented correctly across the territory.
Assist distributors in growing category sales through education and product positioning.
Manage a structured territory plan to maximise time spent with high-value operators and growth opportunities.
Monitor and report on sales performance, pipeline development, and customer activity.
Key Requirements:
2–5+ years’ experience in foodservice sales, hospitality sales, or FMCG field sales.
Strong understanding of the foodservice industry and operator environment.
Experience working with or through foodservice distributors.
Demonstrated ability to generate new business opportunities.
Strong organisational and planning skills.
Current driver’s licence and willingness to travel within the territory.
