Senior Accountant (REMOTE)

Role Description This is a full-time, remote Senior Accountant role responsible for managing and overseeing key accounting functions for Qmulus Solutions and its clients. The Senior Accountant will prepare and review journal entries, monthly and quarterly closing activities, account reconciliations, and financial statements. The role includes managing general ledger accuracy, supporting budgeting and forecasting processes, and monitoring cash flow and working capital. The Senior Accountant will ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, internal controls, and company policies. Daily responsibilities also include analyzing financial data, preparing variance and performance reports, supporting audits, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and recommending process improvements to enhance financial efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications
Strong technical accounting skills, including general ledger management, journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end and year-end close.
Proficiency in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and cash flow management.
Experience with accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar), along with strong Excel skills.
Knowledge of GAAP and relevant tax and regulatory requirements, with a demonstrated commitment to accurate and compliant reporting.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills with the ability to interpret and present financial data to non-finance stakeholders.
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a remote environment.
Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills, with a collaborative approach to working across distributed teams.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent professional certification is preferred.
Several years of progressive accounting experience, including experience in a senior or lead role; experience in outsourcing, virtual staffing, or technology services is a plus.
High level of integrity, discretion, and commitment to maintaining confidentiality and ethical accounting practices.
