About the role
Description supplied by the original job listing.
What you'd be doing:
• Leveraging and building relationships with district and school-based curriculum coordinators, literacy coaches, principals, and teacher leaders
• Sharing the value of DHP's literacy solutions as supplemental materials to K-3 classrooms, after school programs, and summer schools
• Working sales you bring in or develop, earning commission on what you close
• Representing an educator- and women-owned publisher that teachers trust
Who we think will do well in this role:
Our best reps often didn't start in sales. Many came up as literacy coaches or consultants first, deeply engaged with their networks. That background is exactly why schools trust them and also why they value Daffodil Hill's work.
You:
• Have a background as an educator, literacy coach, and independent literacy consultant (or know a lot about the K-5 literacy space)
• Have strong relationships with a variety of key players across elementary schools and school districts
• Genuinely care about supporting student learning and deeply respect teachers
• Are creative and a self-starter who takes initiative and follows through
What DHP offers:
• Competitive commission on sales you bring in
• Full flexibility to bring this work in alongside your existing work
• Onboarding and supportive materials to help you do your best
If you are interested, send information about your background as well as what you already know about our books and why this role would be a good fit for you.
