Brand Designer

Fable Studio is looking for a strong independent brand designer who can take ownership of projects from brief to final execution.
We’re not looking for someone who simply executes instructions. We need someone who can understand a client’s business, ask the right questions, research the category, develop strong visual directions and turn those into thoughtful, high-quality brand identities and packaging.
What you’ll be doing
* Understanding client briefs and identifying gaps before designing
* Brand & competitor research
* Developing concepts, visual references and moodboards
* Creating complete visual identities — logos, typography, colours and brand systems
* Designing premium packaging across FMCG, food & beverage, beauty, lifestyle and other consumer brands
* Presenting and explaining creative decisions
* Understanding client feedback and independently handling revisions
* Preparing production/print-ready artwork
* Maintaining strong attention to detail across every deliverable
* Taking ownership of projects rather than waiting for step-by-step direction
What we’re looking for
* Strong portfolio in branding and packaging
* Excellent typography, layout and visual hierarchy
* Strong conceptual thinking — not just software skills
* Ability to interpret references without blindly copying them
* Ability to catch your own mistakes before work is presented
* Comfortable communicating with clients when required
* Reliable with timelines and feedback
* Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and relevant design tools
* Experience with AI tools is a plus, but strong design fundamentals are essential
Most important: we want someone who can be given a creative brief and own the creative process independently from research to final execution.
