We're looking for Data Science Experts to work alongside leading AI research labs, stress-testing and training cutting-edge language models on complex, real-world data science problems. Your expertise becomes the benchmark AI has to meet — and your feedback is what makes it smarter.
This is a fully remote, flexible contract role built for experienced data scientists and researchers who want meaningful, intellectually stimulating work on their own schedule.

What You'll Do
Design Advanced Challenges: Create rigorous, domain-specific data science problems spanning hyperparameter optimization, Bayesian inference, cross-validation strategies, dimensionality reduction, and more — problems that genuinely push AI to its limits
Author Ground-Truth Solutions: Develop comprehensive, step-by-step solutions including Python/R scripts, SQL queries, and mathematical derivations that serve as the gold standard for AI evaluation
Audit AI-Generated Code: Critically evaluate AI outputs across libraries like Scikit-Learn, PyTorch, and TensorFlow — assessing technical accuracy, efficiency, and best practices
Refine AI Reasoning: Identify flawed logic in AI responses — data leakage, overfitting, improper handling of imbalanced datasets — and deliver structured feedback that directly improves model reasoning
Document Failure Modes: Systematically capture edge cases and reasoning breakdowns to help research teams harden model behavior
Who You Are
Advanced degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a quantitative field (Master's pursuing/completed or PhD)
Deep domain expertise in supervised/unsupervised learning, deep learning, big data technologies (Spark/Hadoop), or NLP
Strong analytical writing skills — you can translate complex algorithmic concepts and statistical results into clear, precise written explanations
Exceptional attention to detail — you catch errors in code syntax, mathematical notation, and statistical conclusions that others miss
Comfortable working independently and asynchronously
No prior AI or annotation experience required
Nice to Have
Experience with data annotation, data quality assurance, or AI evaluation pipelines
Familiarity with production-level data science workflows — MLOps, CI/CD for models, model monitoring
Background in academic research or technical writing
