Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Pickup Driver role based in Chittoor. The Pickup Driver will be responsible for safely operating company trucks to transport materials and equipment between project sites, warehouses, and client locations. Daily tasks include inspecting vehicles before and after trips, loading and unloading goods, following assigned routes and schedules, and maintaining accurate delivery records. The role also involves coordinating with site supervisors, communicating any delays or issues, and ensuring adherence to traffic laws and company safety procedures. The driver is expected to keep the vehicle clean, report maintenance needs promptly, and provide courteous service to internal teams and external stakeholders.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong vehicle operation skills, including Truck Driving experience and familiarity with handling a Truck in varied road and site conditions.
Candidates should possess appropriate licensing, such as CDL Class A or equivalent heavy vehicle driving authorization, in compliance with local regulations.
Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to coordinate with supervisors, site staff, and logistics teams.
Candidates should possess Customer Service skills to interact professionally with clients, suppliers, and project partners during pickups and deliveries.
Ability to follow safety protocols and traffic rules, with a strong focus on risk awareness and incident prevention.
Basic record-keeping skills for logging trips, delivery notes, and vehicle inspection reports.
Physical ability to load and unload materials and work in outdoor construction environments.
Prior experience in infrastructure, logistics, or construction-related transport is an advantage.
