Professional Services Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Professional Services Engineer with a strong consulting mindset and deep exposure to cybersecurity operations. In this role, you will work closely with customers to design, deploy, and optimize security automation solutions that help them respond faster and smarter to threats. You will act as a trusted technical advisor, owning end-to-end platform implementations, building SOC/IR automation playbooks, and enabling customers to maximize value from the Swimlane platform.
Responsibilities:
Install, configure, and deploy the Swimlane Platform across cloud and on-prem environments.
Design and implement SOC, incident response, and remediation playbooks aligned with customer workflows.
Build and customize integrations with third-party security tools using Python, JavaScript, and YAML.
Work with RESTful APIs to extend and automate security operations.
Lead customer enablement through technical training sessions and certification labs.
Support advanced and non-standard architectures, including large-scale and hybrid deployments.
Actively contribute to the Swimlane community by answering technical questions, creating content, and driving adoption of security orchestration and automation.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and Customer Success teams to resolve complex customer challenges.
Requirements:
2+ years of experience in one or more of the following: professional services at a cybersecurity vendor, security operations center (SOC).
Incident Response (IR) teams.
Strong understanding of SOC and IR processes, workflows, and best practices.
Working knowledge of Python and RESTful APIs.
Experience with cloud platforms (AKS, EKS, GCP) and on-prem infrastructure provisioning and management.
Ability to quickly understand complex technical systems and clearly explain them verbally, in writing, and through diagrams.
Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, engineering, or a related field.
Technical Expertise (Must-Have / Strong Plus):
Hands-on experience with one or more of the following security technologies: SIEM, IAM, firewalls/proxy solutions, threat intelligence platforms, and malware sandboxing.
Experience designing and implementing automation and orchestration solutions to streamline security operations.
Consulting experience advising customers on SOC/IR architecture and operational maturity.
Nice to Have:
Experience with USCYBERCOM Cyber Protection Teams.
Former Army 25D / 170D background.
