Role Overview
TUG is seeking a Hybrid Project Manager / Product Owner to lead delivery execution while ensuring product initiatives are planned, prioritized, and delivered with predictability, clarity, and measurable outcomes across a growing multi-module platform.
This role is delivery-first by design. The successful candidate will be accountable for planning, execution, coordination, and release management, while also owning the product backlog to ensure scope, priorities, and requirements are clearly defined and executable.
The role sits at the intersection of project delivery, product backlog ownership, and cross-team coordination, ensuring that product goals translate into on-time, high-quality delivery.
Primary Responsibilities — Project Management & Delivery Leadership
Own delivery planning and execution across multiple platform modules and initiatives
Develop and manage project plans, sprint plans, timelines, and milestones
Track progress, dependencies, risks, and blockers, proactively driving resolution
Coordinate cross-functional teams (engineering, design, stakeholders) to ensure alignment
Lead sprint ceremonies (planning, stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives) with delivery focus
Manage release planning and coordination, ensuring smooth and predictable deployments
Provide clear, structured status reporting on scope, schedule, risks, and delivery health
Enforce delivery discipline, realistic scoping, and prioritization to avoid scope creep
Secondary Responsibilities — Product Management
Own and maintain the product backlog, ensuring items are well-defined, prioritized, and delivery-ready
Translate business needs into clear PRDs, user stories, acceptance criteria, and task breakdowns
Support product discovery by helping define MVP scope, phased delivery, and release sequencing
Ensure backlog priorities align with delivery capacity, timelines, and dependencies
Act as the execution bridge between business intent and engineering delivery
Required Experience & Background
3–5 years of experience in a combination of:
Project Management / Delivery Management
Agile or Hybrid Delivery Roles
Product Owner or Technical Product Roles
Proven experience in:
Delivery-focused hybrid roles (Project Manager / Product Owner)
Managing software delivery in agile or hybrid environments
Coordinating multiple workstreams or platform modules
Startup, scale-up, or fast-moving product environments
Tools & Platforms
Project & Delivery Management: Jira, ClickUp, Trello, MS Project
Engineering Collaboration: Jira, GitHub
Planning & Documentation: Confluence, Notion, or team-defined tools
Core Skills & Competencies
Strong delivery ownership and execution mindset
Excellent planning, tracking, and dependency management skills
Clear requirements definition and documentation ability
Strong understanding of software development lifecycles (SDLC)
Ability to balance scope, timeline, quality, and business value
Confident managing multiple initiatives and competing priorities
Structured, data-driven approach to decision making and reporting
Strong stakeholder communication and expectation management
Nice to Have
Experience working in startup or early-stage environments
PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, or Scrum certifications
Familiarity with UI/UX workflows (Figma)
Ability to translate business objectives into executable delivery plans
