About The Role
We are seeking a dependable and technically capable individual to join our team as a Website & SEO Technical Assistant. This is an entry-level, full-time position designed for candidates interested in building a career in website management, SEO monitoring, and technical operations. The role offers training and development opportunities, making it an ideal starting point for recent graduates or individuals with foundational computer and technical skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting website operations, monitoring SEO performance, managing content, and assisting with plugin testing, all within a collaborative work environment.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess a basic understanding of computer applications and a keen interest in website technologies. Relevant educational backgrounds include COPA (Computer Operator and Programming Assistant) training through an ITI, BCA, B.Sc. in Computer Science or Information Technology, Diploma in Computer Science/IT, Polytechnic diplomas, MCA, or other recognized technical certifications. While prior experience in SEO or web development is not mandatory, familiarity with WordPress and basic HTML/CSS is advantageous. Candidates should have excellent English communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to follow instructions accurately. Reliable internet access and a suitable computer for daily work are essential.
Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will encompass a variety of website operations, SEO monitoring, content management, and technical testing tasks. Specifically, you will:
Monitor website keyword rankings and search visibility to track performance trends.
Review and analyze data from Google Search Console, including indexing, impressions, and clicks.
Identify significant changes in search rankings and collaborate on solutions to address issues.
Prepare and maintain regular SEO performance reports and tracking spreadsheets.
Assist in identifying pages requiring updates or further optimization efforts.
Conduct basic keyword and competitor research to support SEO strategies.
In content management, your duties will include adding and updating website content, formatting articles, publishing pages via WordPress, and ensuring content displays correctly across devices. You will also optimize images, update titles and descriptions, and organize publishing schedules.
Create and configure WordPress websites using existing themes and systems.
Manage website settings, menus, widgets, and plugin configurations.
Update WordPress themes and plugins, perform basic website maintenance, and troubleshoot common issues.
Make simple HTML/CSS adjustments when necessary to enhance website appearance or functionality.
Another critical aspect of your role involves plugin testing. You will install test versions of plugins, follow testing protocols, verify feature functionality, document bugs, and report technical issues to our development team. This process is vital to ensure website stability and performance before deploying updates on live sites.
