Role Description The Assistant Professor role is a full-time, hybrid position based in Kankavli, with some flexibility for work from home as per institutional requirements. The Assistant Professor will design and deliver lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions; prepare lesson plans, assessments, and academic materials aligned with the curriculum; and evaluate student performance through assignments, exams, and projects. Day-to-day responsibilities include mentoring students, maintaining academic records, participating in departmental meetings, and contributing to curriculum development. The role also involves engaging in scholarly activities such as research, publishing, attending conferences, and supporting college initiatives including seminars, workshops, and community outreach programs.
Qualifications
Advanced academic preparation in a relevant discipline (minimum Master’s degree; Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree preferred).
Demonstrated teaching skills, including lesson planning, classroom management, and effective communication with students.
Ability to conduct academic research, prepare scholarly papers, and engage with current developments in the field.
Strong assessment and evaluation skills, including designing fair grading criteria and providing constructive feedback.
Proficiency with basic educational technologies, learning management systems, and productivity tools for hybrid teaching.
Commitment to student-centered learning, inclusive teaching practices, and mentorship of learners from diverse backgrounds.
Collaborative mindset to work with colleagues on departmental activities, accreditation processes, and institutional development.
Good verbal and written communication skills in English; proficiency in local languages is an advantage.
Prior experience in college or university teaching is preferred but motivated early-career educators are also encouraged to apply.
