Role Description The DCS Shift Incharge and Splitting and Distillation Operator is a full-time, on-site role based in Pune City. The role involves monitoring and controlling plant operations through the Distributed Control System (DCS), ensuring optimal parameters for splitting and distillation units, and responding promptly to process deviations. Responsibilities include starting and stopping equipment as per standard operating procedures, coordinating with field operators for smooth production, and recording shift data and production reports. The role also covers routine checks of process equipment, adherence to safety and environmental regulations, and participation in troubleshooting, shutdown, and maintenance activities in collaboration with the engineering and quality teams.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong knowledge of DCS operation, process control, and continuous production systems.
Candidates should possess skills in splitting and distillation processes, including monitoring temperatures, pressures, and flow rates.
Candidates should possess familiarity with standard operating procedures, safety protocols, and emergency handling in chemical or oleochemical plants.
Candidates should possess basic equipment troubleshooting skills and the ability to coordinate with maintenance teams.
Candidates should possess effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with shift and field personnel.
Candidates should possess good record-keeping and reporting skills for shift logs, production data, and incident documentation.
Candidates should preferably have a diploma or degree in Chemical Engineering, Petrochemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
Prior experience in an oleochemical, chemical, or similar process industry in a shift incharge or operator role is highly beneficial.
