Role Description The Yoga Teacher will design and lead yoga classes that align with Ayurphilia’s holistic and Ayurvedic approach to well-being. In this full-time, on-site role based in Kollam, the teacher will plan daily sessions, guide group and individual practices, and ensure safe, inclusive instruction for participants of varying experience levels. Responsibilities include demonstrating correct postures, providing modifications, integrating breathwork and relaxation techniques, and offering basic lifestyle guidance that complements Ayurvedic principles. The Yoga Teacher will also collaborate with Ayurphilia’s practitioners and team members to support wellness programs, maintain a welcoming studio environment, and participate in workshops or community events as needed.
Qualifications
Demonstrated expertise in Yoga Instruction and Teaching, with the ability to guide diverse groups safely and effectively.
Proficiency in Ashtanga and Vinyasa styles, including sequencing classes for different levels and adapting practices to individual needs.
Strong Communication skills to explain techniques clearly, offer constructive feedback, and engage participants with empathy and professionalism.
Recognized yoga teacher certification (e.g., RYT 200 or equivalent) and a solid personal practice; familiarity with Ayurvedic principles is highly beneficial.
Ability to work on-site in Kollam, maintain punctuality and reliability, and contribute positively to a collaborative, patient-centered environment.
Experience conducting group classes, workshops, or wellness programs; basic knowledge of anatomy, injury prevention, and mindfulness practices is an advantage.
