School Description Delhi Public School Vikasnagar was established in 2023.
Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Chess Instructor role based in the School. The Chess Instructor will plan and deliver engaging chess lessons, conduct practice sessions, and guide learners from beginner to advanced levels. Responsibilities include explaining chess concepts and strategies, organizing internal tournaments or practice games, and providing individualized feedback to help learners improve. The role also involves maintaining lesson plans and records, communicating progress to learners and guardians where applicable, and supporting a safe, respectful classroom environment.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong skills in Chess, including opening principles, tactics, strategies, and endgame techniques.
Candidates should possess skills in Teaching and Tutoring to deliver clear, structured lessons and support diverse learning styles.
Candidates should possess Training skills to design practice routines, monitor progress, and motivate learners to achieve goals.
Candidates should possess Mathematics skills to reinforce logical thinking, pattern recognition, and problem-solving where relevant.
Candidates should have strong communication and interpersonal skills, patience, and the ability to engage learners of various age groups.
Candidates should preferably have prior experience as a chess coach or instructor; formal certifications in chess or education are an advantage.
Candidates should be comfortable working on-site in Dehradun and collaborating with other educators and staff.
