Role Description The Accountant at GAPPU will manage day-to-day financial operations, including recording transactions, maintaining general ledgers, and reconciling bank statements. This full-time, on-site role in the Greater Kolkata Area will involve preparing financial reports, supporting budgeting and forecasting, handling accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and local regulations. The Accountant will collaborate with management to monitor costs, support pricing decisions, and optimize financial workflows across the workshop and sales functions. The role also includes assisting with audits, maintaining accurate documentation, and implementing process improvements to support the company’s growth.
Qualifications
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and general ledger management.
Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliation, and cash flow tracking.
Proficiency with accounting software and spreadsheets (e.g., Excel or similar tools).
Ability to analyze financial data, prepare clear reports, and support budgeting and forecasting.
Attention to detail, accuracy in documentation, and strong organizational skills.
Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with production, sales, and management teams.
Understanding of local tax rules and compliance requirements in India.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications are an advantage.
Prior experience in a manufacturing, retail, or music-related business is beneficial.
