Role Description The Capital Markets Director is a full-time remote role responsible for leading NCP’s capital markets activities and supporting transaction execution across the firm’s investment portfolio. This position involves sourcing and cultivating relationships with lenders, co-investors, and other capital providers to structure and secure financing for MBO and MBI transactions. The Director will evaluate investment opportunities, conduct financial and market analysis, and collaborate with managers and business owners to design optimal capital structures. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing deal pipelines, coordinating due diligence, preparing investment and financing materials, and overseeing transaction timelines to closing. The role also requires close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, including advisors, to ensure efficient deal execution and alignment with NCP’s investment strategy.
Qualifications
Strong analytical skills with experience in financial modeling, valuation, and evaluating investment opportunities.
Demonstrated expertise in business planning, including capital structure design, budgeting, and strategic growth planning.
Proven track record in sales and relationship management, particularly with lenders, investors, and corporate stakeholders.
Solid project management skills, with ability to lead complex transactions, manage timelines, and coordinate cross-functional teams.
Knowledge of market access and capital markets, including debt and equity instruments, private equity structures, and deal financing options.
Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, economics, or a related field; an advanced degree or professional designation (e.g., MBA, CFA, CPA) is an asset.
Experience in private equity, investment banking, corporate finance, or a related capital markets role, preferably involving mid-market transactions.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote environment and across diverse stakeholder groups.
