Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Hyderabad for a Cold Chain Logistics and Distribution Manager. The role involves overseeing end-to-end cold chain operations, including planning and scheduling distribution routes, managing warehouse and refrigerated storage, and ensuring temperature-controlled transportation of dairy products. The manager will monitor inventory levels, coordinate with production and sales teams, and supervise logistics staff to maintain timely and accurate deliveries. The position requires enforcing food safety and quality standards, tracking KPIs such as delivery performance and product loss, and continuously improving processes to reduce costs and enhance reliability. The manager will also handle vendor and transporter relationships, manage documentation and compliance, and support implementation of digital tools for tracking and reporting.
Qualifications
Cold chain logistics and distribution management skills, including route planning, fleet coordination, and temperature-controlled storage oversight.
Inventory management and warehouse operations skills, with experience in stock rotation, dispatch planning, and minimizing wastage.
Knowledge of dairy or food supply chain processes, food safety standards, and regulatory compliance related to refrigerated products.
Team leadership and people management skills, including supervising operations staff, training, and performance monitoring.
Data analysis and reporting skills, with ability to use spreadsheets, ERP or logistics software, and generate operational performance reports.
Strong communication and coordination skills to work with production, sales, procurement, transport partners, and customers.
Problem-solving and decision-making abilities, particularly in handling delivery issues, equipment breakdowns, and temperature excursions.
Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, operations, engineering, or a related field; relevant certifications in cold chain or supply chain are an advantage.
Prior experience in cold chain logistics, preferably in dairy, food, or beverage industries, with on-ground exposure to distribution operations
