Job Description
The Reconciliation & Proofing Intermediate Analyst is a developing professional role. Deals with most problems independently and has some latitude to solve complex problems. Integrates in-depth specialty area knowledge with a solid understanding of industry standards and practices. Good understanding of how the team and area integrate with others in accomplishing the objectives of the sub function/ job family. Applies analytical thinking and knowledge of data analysis tools and methodologies. Requires attention to detail when making judgments and recommendations based on the analysis of factual information. Typically deals with variable issues with potentially broader business impact. Applies professional judgment when interpreting data and results. Breaks down information in a systematic and communicable manner. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to exchange potentially complex/sensitive information. Moderate but direct impact through close contact with the businesses' core activities. Quality and timeliness of service provided will affect the effectiveness of own team and other closely related teams.
Key Responsibilities
Perform daily reconciliation and proofing activities to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of asset servicing and custody-related transactions.
Investigate and resolve reconciliation breaks, exceptions, and discrepancies in a timely manner, working closely with internal and external stakeholders.
Analyze operational processes and identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and risk reduction.
Prepare management reports, MIS, and data analytics using advanced Microsoft Excel functions, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Power Query, formulas, and data visualization tools.
Support business initiatives, system enhancements, and operational change management projects.
Gather business requirements from stakeholders and translate them into clear and comprehensive Business Requirement Documents (BRDs).
Coordinate with Technology, Operations, Product, and Business teams throughout the project lifecycle, including requirement gathering, testing, implementation, and post-production support.
Perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT), document test results, and ensure successful implementation of new processes and system enhancements.
Utilize analytical and problem-solving skills to identify root causes and recommend sustainable solutions.
Drive and initiate productivity improvement, automation, and digitalization projects to enhance operational efficiency.
Ensure all activities are conducted in compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and operational control standards.
Build and maintain strong working relationships with colleagues, clients, vendors, and stakeholders across different countries and cultures.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
Strong proficiency in both English and Thai, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including:
Pivot Tables
XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP
Data analysis and reporting
VBA/Macro knowledge is an advantage
Experience in Custody Operations, Asset Servicing, Reconciliation, Securities Operations, or Financial Services is preferred.
Alternatively, candidates with strong programming and automation skills (e.g., Python, SQL, VBA, Power Platform, Xceptor, Alteryx, or similar tools) are encouraged to apply.
Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data and identify trends, exceptions, and process improvements.
