Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Junior Merchant role based in Gurugram. The Junior Merchant supports the merchandising and production teams in managing orders from sampling to shipment. Day-to-day responsibilities include coordinating with buyers and internal teams, tracking order status, updating product and order documentation, and ensuring timelines and quality requirements are met. The role involves assisting in cost sheets, purchase orders, and approvals, as well as maintaining accurate records of fabrics, trims, and production schedules. The Junior Merchant also helps prepare reports, communicates updates to stakeholders, and contributes to resolving routine operational issues.
Qualifications
Strong coordination and organizational abilities to manage multiple orders, timelines, and internal/external communications.
Basic knowledge of apparel merchandising, production processes, and export documentation (prior internship or experience in garment industry preferred).
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and comfort with maintaining spreadsheets, reports, and digital records.
Effective written and verbal communication skills for interacting with buyers, suppliers, and cross-functional teams.
Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to follow up consistently, identify issues early, and support timely resolution.
Ability to work on-site in Gurugram, collaborate within a team environment, and adapt to fast-paced production timelines.
Relevant education such as a degree or diploma in Fashion Merchandising, Textile Technology, Apparel Management, Business, or a related field.
