Role Description The Chief Operating Officer (COO) will oversee DhartiAmrit’s day-to-day operations, ensuring that forest creation projects are delivered efficiently, safely, and in alignment with strategic and environmental goals. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Jaipur, responsible for leading cross-functional teams, optimizing operational processes, and coordinating with ecologists, architects, project managers, and external partners. The COO will develop and implement operational policies, manage budgets and resource allocation, and track performance metrics across projects and business units. The role includes collaborating with the leadership team on business planning, supporting client engagements, and driving continuous improvement in project delivery, quality standards, and impact measurement. The COO will also play a key role in risk management, compliance, and building an inclusive, high-performance work culture that supports DhartiAmrit’s mission.
Qualifications
Strong Operations Management experience, including process optimization and project execution across multiple sites or business units.
Proficiency in Business Planning and strategic execution, with the ability to translate environmental and commercial objectives into operational roadmaps.
Robust Finance and Budgeting skills, including cost control, resource planning, and financial performance tracking.
Advanced Analytical Skills to interpret operational data, assess project outcomes, and inform leadership decisions.
Proven leadership experience managing cross-functional teams, with excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Experience in sustainability, environmental services, infrastructure, or related sectors is highly beneficial.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Engineering, Environmental Management, or a related field; a master’s degree (e.g., MBA) is an advantage.
Demonstrated ability to work on-site, travel to project locations as needed, and adapt to a dynamic, mission-driven environment
