Senior Full Stack Engineer

We are a US-based, founder-funded startup building an AI-driven operations platform for the logistics industry. The founder owns and operates a logistics company in Ohio, so the product is built from real daily operations and already has its first user. We are hiring our first engineer, who will own the technical side of the product from day one, with room to grow into CTO.
This is a full-time remote role for an engineer based in Egypt.
What you will do
• Build and ship a multi-tenant SaaS product: backend, web dashboard, mobile apps and third-party integrations.
• Work daily with AI coding tools. A large share of the code is AI-generated, and your job is to direct it, review it, test it and take responsibility for what goes to production.
• Own infrastructure, deployment, monitoring and security. The product will handle payroll and financial data, so security is part of the job from the start.
• Work directly with the founder, with no layers and no agency in between.
What we are looking for
• 6+ years of professional experience, and at least one SaaS product you helped ship that has real paying users.
• Strong in React and either Node.js (TypeScript) or Python, PostgreSQL and AWS.
• React Native experience, or a clear willingness to own the mobile apps.
• Experience integrating external APIs such as payroll, banking, telephony or telematics.
• Working knowledge of application security: authentication, encryption, secrets handling, least-privilege access.
• Strong written and spoken English. Arabic is a plus.
• Available at least 3 hours a day overlapping with US Eastern time (afternoons and evenings in Cairo).
Terms
• Full-time contract, USD 3,000-5,000 per month depending on experience, paid in USD.
• Remote from Egypt, long-term.
• The process is a short questionnaire, a paid test task (6-8 hours, paid whether or not we hire you), and a call with the founder. Product details are shared under NDA.
