Role Description The Assistant Manager L & D is a full-time, on-site role based in Bellary, responsible for supporting the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of learning and development initiatives across the organization. This role involves conducting training needs analyses, coordinating with business leaders to identify skill gaps, and developing structured learning plans and calendars. The Assistant Manager L & D will manage end-to-end training logistics, facilitate and monitor classroom and on-the-job learning programs, and collaborate with external training partners where needed. Daily activities include creating learning content, tracking participation and effectiveness, maintaining L & D metrics and reports, and ensuring compliance with internal policies and statutory requirements related to employee development. The role also supports talent development programs, onboarding training, and succession planning initiatives aligned with Minera Group’s growth and sustainability goals.
Qualifications
Strong expertise in learning and development, including training needs analysis, program design, facilitation, and evaluation of learning effectiveness.
Experience in creating and managing training calendars, coordinating sessions, and handling end-to-end training logistics in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Ability to develop engaging learning materials and content, using modern instructional design methods and adult learning principles.
Proficiency in using MS Office and HR or L & D systems to track training records, prepare reports, and analyze L & D data for decision-making.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and levels.
Strong organizational and time-management capabilities, with attention to detail and a focus on process discipline and compliance.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field; specialized certifications in L & D or training are an advantage.
Prior experience in a steel, mining, or heavy industry context is preferred, along with familiarity with safety, regulatory, and compliance-related training.
