Role Description
The Snowflake Solutions Architect is a remote, contract role responsible for designing and implementing scalable data solutions on the Snowflake platform. This role involves collaborating with business and technical stakeholders to gather requirements, define data architectures, and translate business needs into robust cloud data models and integrations. Day-to-day activities include creating end-to-end solution designs, overseeing data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes, and ensuring performance, security, and reliability of Snowflake-based environments. The architect will provide technical leadership to development teams, guide best practices for data governance and cost optimization, and support troubleshooting and continuous improvement efforts. The role also includes consulting with clients to align Snowflake solutions with broader digital transformation and business process goals.
Qualifications
Strong Solution Architecture skills, including designing scalable, secure, and reliable Snowflake data platforms and end-to-end cloud data solutions.
Consulting experience, with the ability to work directly with stakeholders, gather requirements, and translate business needs into technical designs.
Software Development and data engineering skills, including experience with SQL, ETL/ELT tools, scripting languages (e.g., Python), and CI/CD practices.
Integration expertise in connecting Snowflake with diverse data sources, APIs, and enterprise systems, and implementing data pipelines and workflows.
Experience in analyzing and improving Business Process workflows through data-driven solutions and automation.
Hands-on experience with Snowflake (data modeling, performance tuning, security, role-based access, cost management) and major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Knowledge of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and modern analytics ecosystems (BI tools, dashboards, reporting).
Strong communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work independently in a remote, client-facing environment.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Relevant certifications (e.g., Snowflake, cloud provider certifications
