IT Infrastructure Specialist

Job Purpose:
ROLE SUMMARY
The IT Infra Specialist will manage and maintain the school's IT infrastructure, ensuring reliable, secure, and efficient technology operations across the campus. The role involves hardware and software support, network management, cybersecurity compliance, and enabling seamless digital learning experiences for students and staff.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage and maintain the school's IT infrastructure including servers, networks, computers, and peripherals.
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and connectivity issues across the campus.
Install, configure, and update software, operating systems, and applications on school devices.
Administer and monitor the school's local area network (LAN), Wi-Fi, and internet connectivity.
Ensure cybersecurity standards are maintained including firewalls, antivirus, data backup, and access controls.
Manage digital learning platforms, LMS, smartboards, and AV equipment in classrooms and labs.
Maintain an updated inventory of all IT assets, equipment, and software licences.
Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for IT procurement and support.
Train staff on the use of technology tools, platforms, and best practices for digital safety.
Prepare and maintain IT-related documentation, logs, and compliance reports.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
B.Tech, BCA, or Diploma in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
2–4 years of experience in IT infrastructure or technical support, preferably in an educational setting.
Proficiency in networking, Windows/Linux systems, and common IT tools.
Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and data protection standards.
Strong problem-solving skills, technical aptitude, and ability to support non-technical users.
