Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for Piping Design Engineers based in Vadodara. The role involves developing piping layouts and designs, preparing isometric drawings and pipe routing plans, and coordinating with mechanical, civil, process, and instrumentation teams to ensure integrated plant design. Responsibilities include performing basic stress checks, supporting detailed engineering documentation, reviewing vendor drawings, and ensuring compliance with relevant codes, standards, and client specifications. The engineer will participate in design reviews, address technical queries, support construction teams with design clarifications, and maintain accurate project records. The position also requires adherence to safety practices, quality procedures, and project timelines while collaborating closely with project managers and other stakeholders.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong skills in Piping Design and Piping, including layout development, routing, and familiarity with relevant design codes.
Candidates should possess skills in Stress Analysis and Mechanical Engineering, with an understanding of pipe flexibility, supports, and mechanical integrity.
Candidates should possess knowledge related to Petroleum industry applications, including exposure to refinery, petrochemical, or oil and gas projects.
Relevant bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
Proficiency with piping design and modeling software (e.g., AutoCAD, 3D modeling tools such as PLANT 3D, PDMS, E3D, or similar) and basic stress analysis tools.
Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, equipment layouts, and engineering drawings, with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in multidisciplinary teams and meet project deadlines.
Manegerial capability to handle Piping, stress team of 5-10 engineers and client interface, Suppliers interface, managing document, tracking project progress is a must cabability.
Experience with international design standards and safety regulations; prior experience in EPC or consulting environments is an advantage.
Administration of piping softwares shall be appriciated.
