Role Description The Fashion Designer and Merchandiser will work full time on-site at the Noida location, collaborating closely with design, production, and sales teams. Day-to-day responsibilities include conceptualizing and developing new fashion collections, selecting textiles and embellishments, and creating detailed design specifications and samples. The role involves overseeing embroidery and garment construction, ensuring proper fitting and quality standards across products. The individual will also manage merchandising activities such as product assortment planning, trend analysis, coordination with buyers, and preparing samples and presentations for domestic and international clients. Additional tasks include maintaining design documentation, monitoring production timelines, and supporting brand positioning through cohesive design and merchandising strategies.
Qualifications
Strong skills in Fashion Design and Fashion, including concept development, sketching, and collection planning.
Hands-on experience with Embroidery and Textiles, with the ability to select appropriate fabrics, trims, and surface embellishments.
Proficiency in Fitting and garment construction processes, ensuring high-quality, well-structured products.
Knowledge of merchandising principles, including trend research, product assortment, and coordination with buyers and production teams.
Relevant education in Fashion Design, Textile Design, Apparel Merchandising, or a closely related field.
Ability to collaborate on-site with cross-functional teams, manage multiple projects, and meet strict delivery timelines.
Familiarity with design software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or CAD tools) and basic MS Office skills for documentation and presentations.
Strong attention to detail, creativity, and an understanding of global fashion markets and export requirements.
