Role Description The Academic Counsellor – Edtech role is a full-time, on-site position based in Bengaluru. The Academic Counsellor will guide learners and prospective students in choosing suitable courses and learning paths based on their educational background, interests, and career goals. Daily responsibilities include conducting one-on-one counseling sessions, explaining program details and learning outcomes, and supporting learners through admission and onboarding processes. The role also involves maintaining accurate records of student interactions, collaborating with internal teams to improve counseling processes, and following up with learners to ensure engagement and satisfaction. The Academic Counsellor will work closely with sales, academic, and support teams to align learner needs with available Edtech solutions.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Student Counseling and Academic Advising skills to support learners in making informed educational decisions.
Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to clearly explain programs, address queries, and build trust with students and families.
Candidates should possess Career Counseling and Education-related knowledge to connect academic choices with future career opportunities.
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Education, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field is preferred.
Experience in Edtech, educational counseling, or academic advisory roles is an advantage.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple inquiries, and use CRM or student management systems effectively.
Strong interpersonal skills, ethical work practices, and a learner-centric mindset.
