The Youth Empowerment & Stability Foundation (YES Foundation) is a youth-centered nonprofit organization committed to empowering youth and young adults by helping them build stability, strengthen their voices, and access opportunities to thrive.
Our work focuses on five core areas of impact: Mentoring, Youth Leadership, Training, Learning & Capacity Building, Resource Navigation, and Youth Voice & Systems Change. Through programs, partnerships, learning opportunities, advocacy, and direct connections to resources, we work to ensure young people—especially those facing barriers or navigating systems—have access to supportive relationships, practical resources, leadership opportunities, and platforms to influence the decisions that affect their lives.
Position Overview
The Director of Growth & Development is a volunteer leadership position responsible for helping the YES Foundation strengthen its sustainability, expand its reach, and identify opportunities for organizational growth.
Working closely with the Founder & Executive Director, the Director will support fundraising, partnerships, grants, donor engagement, and other development efforts that increase the organization’s capacity and long-term impact.
Key Responsibilities
* Identify grant, sponsorship, fundraising, and other funding opportunities.
* Support grant research, proposal development, and application preparation.
* Help develop and implement fundraising and donor engagement strategies.
* Build relationships with nonprofits, businesses, foundations, community partners, and potential supporters.
* Identify strategic partnerships that can expand the organization’s programs, resources, and reach.
* Assist with sponsorship packages, fundraising campaigns, and development materials.
* Help strengthen systems for tracking grants, donors, partnerships, and development opportunities.
* Collaborate with organizational leadership on growth strategies and new initiatives.
* Represent the organization in virtual meetings, networking opportunities, and community conversations when appropriate.
Who We’re Looking For
We are looking for someone who is creative, relationship-oriented, organized, and passionate about youth empowerment. Experience in nonprofit development, fundraising, grant writing, partnerships, business development, communications, or a related area is helpful but not required.
The ideal volunteer is comfortable taking initiative, building relationships, communicating professionally, and helping a growing nonprofit turn ideas and opportunities into sustainable impact.
