Role Description The Engineering Intern will support day-to-day engineering and manufacturing activities, including assisting with design review, process documentation, and production planning. Responsibilities include working closely with senior engineers on precision machining projects, preparing technical drawings or reports, collecting and analyzing production data, and helping implement improvements in quality and efficiency. The intern will also collaborate with cross-functional teams on shop-floor activities, support basic troubleshooting of equipment or process issues under supervision, and contribute to safety and compliance practices. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Thane, requiring regular presence at the manufacturing facility and active engagement with the operations team.
Qualifications
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree/diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline.
Foundational knowledge of engineering principles, precision machining concepts, manufacturing processes, and basic materials science.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, basic GD&T, and familiarity with CAD tools (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar software).
Basic understanding of quality control practices, measurement tools, and safety standards in a manufacturing environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and an interest in process optimization and continuous improvement.
Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively on-site in multidisciplinary teams.
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and comfort with documenting technical and operational information.
Willingness to learn, adapt to a fast-paced startup environment, and take initiative under guidance from senior engineers.
