The Role & Project Overview
We are looking for exceptional AI Engineering Interns from top-tier institutions (IITs, NITs, IIITs, and premier computer science programs) to tackle complex, production-oriented Research & Development (R&D) challenges.
During this 3-month high-impact internship, you will lead or co-own a specific R&D track directly integrated into the Haydr platform. This is not a task-runner role - you will design, benchmark, fine-tune and deploy intelligent agents and pipelines capable of processing unstructured legal texts, dynamic watchlist entities and high-throughput financial transactions in real time.
Key Responsibilities
R&D Pipeline Execution: Architect and evaluate advanced GenAI, LLM and Graph/Agentic workflows tailored to complex compliance logic (e.g., automated regulatory change detection, real-time AML alert prioritization, entity resolution).
Model Optimization & Fine-Tuning: Quantize, fine-tune and optimize open-source LLMs (LLaMA, Mistral, Qwen) for domain-specific NLP tasks involving complex legal and financial datasets.
Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG): Design multi-modal and hybrid (dense + sparse/graph) RAG architectures with strict hallucination limits and low latency.
Production Integration: Write clean, asynchronous Python backend services (FastAPI/gRPC) to ship model endpoints into scalable cloud environments.
Who We Are Looking For
We are targeting top-percentile problem solvers who are obsessed with building AI systems that work in the real world, not just in Jupyter Notebooks.
Qualifications & Prerequisites:
Academic Background: Currently pursuing a B.Tech, M.Tech, PhD or Dual Degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or related fields from top-tier engineering institutes (IITs, NITs, IIITs, BITS, CMI, etc.).
Demonstrated Technical Proof: You MUST be able to showcase real-world AI/ML projects (via GitHub, Hugging Face, research papers, or deployed demos).
Core Technical Stack:
Languages & Frameworks: Python, PyTorch/TensorFlow, FastAPI, Pydantic.
LLM & Agent Frameworks: LangChain, LlamaIndex, AutoGen, CrewAI, DSPy.
Vector Databases & Search: Qdrant, Milvus, Pinecone, FAISS, or pgvector.
Fine-tuning & Inference: Unsloth, vLLM, Ollama, Hugging Face transformers, PEFT/LoRA.
Data Engineering: Graph Databases (Neo4j), Pandas, NetworkX.
Problem-Solving Mindset: Ability to quickly digest academic papers (ArXiv), extract key methodologies, and implement them into functional code.
