Manager - Finance (CHA Business - Mumbai)

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Manager – Finance role based in Navi Mumbai, focused on the CHA (Custom House Agent) business. The manager will oversee day-to-day finance operations, including accounting entries, reconciliations, and monitoring of payables and receivables. The role includes preparing and reviewing financial statements, MIS reports, and cash flow forecasts to support business decisions. The manager will ensure statutory and regulatory compliance, including GST, TDS, and other tax-related requirements, and coordinate with auditors, banks, and external partners. Additional responsibilities include budgeting, cost control, improving financial processes and systems, and providing guidance to the finance team to maintain accuracy and timelines in all financial activities.
Qualifications
Strong foundations in accounting, financial reporting, and reconciliation, with the ability to manage day-to-day finance operations for a CHA or logistics-related business.
Experience in taxation and regulatory compliance, including GST, TDS, and coordination with auditors and statutory authorities.
Proficiency with finance and ERP software, MS Excel, and data analysis tools to prepare MIS reports, cash flow forecasts, and management dashboards.
Demonstrated skills in budgeting, cost control, cash management, and financial planning to support operational and strategic decisions.
Effective leadership, team management, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and work accurately under time constraints.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or a related field; professional qualifications such as CA, CMA, or MBA (Finance) are an advantage.
Prior experience in logistics, shipping, CHA, or a similar industry is highly beneficial, along with familiarity with port and customs documentation workflows.
