D365 Finance Functional Consultant
Start Date: ASAP
End Date: December 31, 2026, very strong likelihood of extension
Work Model: Remote Work in Canada
The Dynamics 365 Finance (F&O) Functional Consultant will support the design, configuration, and delivery of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance solutions within a large, complex enterprise environment. This role partners closely with business, technical, and integration teams to ensure financial processes are accurately implemented, controlled, and scalable.
Key Responsibilities
Lead business process workshops and perform fit-gap analysis for enterprise finance processes
Configure D365 Finance modules to support multi-entity, intercompany, and high-volume financial operations
Produce functional design documents, configuration workbooks, and process flows
Support integrations with upstream and downstream systems and third-party platforms
Assist with data migration, validation, and reconciliation activities
Support SIT and UAT, including defect triage and coordination with technical teams
Ensure solutions align with internal controls, audit, and compliance requirements
Support user training, knowledge transfer, and post–go-live stabilization

Required Skills & Experience
5+ years of Dynamics 365 Finance (F&O) functional consulting experience
Hands-on configuration experience across core finance modules
Experience supporting enterprise-scale or complex organizations
Strong understanding of financial controls, reconciliation, and close processes
Proven experience supporting UAT and working directly with business stakeholders
Strong documentation and communication skills
Nice to Have
Experience in energy, utilities, manufacturing, or asset-intensive industries
Exposure to integrations, data migration tools (DMF), or Power Platform
Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance certification
