Role Description This full-time Entry Level Clinical SAS Programmer role is an on-site position based in Chennai. The programmer will assist in developing, validating, and maintaining SAS programs to support clinical trial data analysis and reporting, including datasets, tables, listings, and figures. Day-to-day responsibilities include working with clinical data management and biostatistics teams to understand data structures, apply programming specifications, and ensure data quality and consistency. The role involves reviewing documentation, supporting data cleaning activities, and contributing to regulatory and client deliverables under the guidance of senior programmers. The programmer will also help maintain programming standards and best practices while building skills in clinical research and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Programming and Statistical Programming skills, preferably with experience or coursework in SAS.
Candidates should possess solid Statistics knowledge to support clinical trial analysis and interpretation of results.
Candidates should possess Data Management skills, including understanding of data structures, validation, and quality control.
Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills to interpret study requirements, troubleshoot programming issues, and review data outputs.
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Life Sciences, or a related field.
Ability to learn quickly, follow documented standards, and work collaboratively in a team-based environment.
Good written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail in documentation and programming.
Interest in clinical research, regulatory processes, and developing a long-term career in clinical programming.
Global SAS Certification is mandatory.
