Role Description
The Business Development Intern will support the growth of Ritera Publishing by identifying potential authors, partners, and readers across global markets. This full-time remote role involves conducting market research, assisting with client acquisition, and maintaining accurate records in CRM tools or spreadsheets.
The intern will communicate with prospective and existing clients, respond to inquiries, and collaborate with the team to enhance customer experience and engagement. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing presentations or reports, analyzing data to spot trends, and contributing ideas to improve outreach strategies and business processes. The intern will work closely with senior team members to learn core business development practices in the publishing industry and participate in virtual meetings and planning sessions.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills to interpret data, identify trends, and support decision-making.
Candidates should possess effective Communication and Customer Service skills to interact with authors, partners, and internal teams in a professional and empathetic manner.
Candidates should understand publishing and self-publishing landscapes.
Candidates should be comfortable working remotely, managing time independently, and using digital tools (e.g., CRM systems, spreadsheets, video conferencing platforms).
Candidates should demonstrate attention to detail, a proactive mindset, and an interest in books, publishing, or creative industries.
A bachelor's degree is required. Candidates with a degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field will have an added advantage.
