Software Tester Intern

FYNHelp is a financial technology company building software that helps businesses and finance professionals manage, understand, and act on their financial data more efficiently. We are building a modern financial intelligence platform designed to simplify complex financial workflows and help users make better business decisions.
We are looking for a Software Tester Intern to join our product and engineering team. This is a hands-on opportunity to work on a live SaaS product and gain practical experience in software quality assurance, testing, defect identification, and product validation.
As a Software Tester Intern at FYNHelp, you will work closely with developers and the product team to test new features, identify issues, validate fixes, and ensure that product workflows work reliably across different scenarios.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, document, and execute detailed test cases for FYNHelp's web application.
- Perform functional, regression, exploratory, and usability testing.
- Test new features and existing product workflows before release.
- Identify, reproduce, and document bugs with clear steps, expected results, and actual results.
- Retest resolved issues and perform regression testing to ensure fixes do not affect existing functionality.
- Test different user scenarios, edge cases, and unexpected inputs.
- Review product requirements and identify missing scenarios, inconsistencies, or potential issues.
- Work closely with developers and product team members to understand requirements and resolve defects.
- Maintain testing documentation and test cases as the product evolves.
- Analyse test results and identify recurring issues or areas where additional test coverage is required.
- Contribute suggestions to improve FYNHelp's testing processes and overall product quality.
- Participate in the testing and validation of new product releases.

- Basic understanding of software testing and Quality Assurance.
- Understanding of functional, regression, and exploratory testing.
- Ability to create structured and easy-to-understand test cases.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to identify inconsistencies and unexpected software behaviour.
- Ability to clearly document and communicate bugs.
- Basic understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Familiarity with web applications and SaaS products.
- Familiarity with bug tracking or project management tools is an advantage.
- Knowledge of automation testing tools is an advantage but not mandatory.
- Good communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a remote team.
