Role Description The Manager – US Global Mobility Services Tax will lead and manage tax-related aspects of global mobility programs for employees assigned to or from the United States. This full-time, on-site role based in Kolkata involves overseeing tax compliance, advisory, and planning for international assignments, including coordination of US tax equalization, reporting, and payroll-related matters. The manager will collaborate closely with HR, finance, and external advisors to design and implement global mobility policies, address employee tax queries, and ensure accurate documentation and timely filings. Daily responsibilities include reviewing tax data, monitoring regulatory changes, assessing immigration and employee benefits implications, and managing projects that support the seamless execution of global assignments. The role also includes mentoring team members, improving processes, and contributing to strategic initiatives that enhance Prismberry’s global mobility framework.
Qualifications
Strong expertise in Global Mobility and Global Immigration, with experience managing US inbound and outbound assignments and related tax implications.
Proven Project Management skills to plan, coordinate, and deliver multiple global mobility initiatives and stakeholder requests effectively.
Advanced Analytical Skills to interpret tax regulations, analyze assignment data, and develop compliant and efficient mobility solutions.
Knowledge of Employee Benefits as they relate to international assignments, including tax treatment of compensation, allowances, and incentives.
Solid understanding of US individual tax and payroll provisions relevant to global mobility; experience with tax equalization or tax protection programs is preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, Business, or a related field; professional qualifications (CPA, EA, CA, or similar) are an advantage.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex tax concepts to non-specialist stakeholders and employees.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external advisors, demonstrating strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Prior experience in a Big Four or global consulting environment, or in-house global mobility tax function, is highly beneficial.
