We are on the hunt for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our ambitious finance team. As we push the boundaries of creativity and technology, we seek a financial expert to oversee our accounting processes, ensuring the stability and growth that support our next blockbuster games.
ABOUT THE POSITION
As a Senior Accountant at Flying Wild Hog, you will manage the accounting function. You will be responsible for complex accounting operations, tax compliance, and financial reporting. Working closely with the PLAION capital group and internal departments, you will play a key role in month-end and year-end closings, process optimization, and providing strategic financial insights to support the studio's growth.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Independent management of accounting records for Flying Wild Hog companies in the SAP system, ensuring high-quality, accurate data entry and classification.
Ensuring full compliance of all financial transactions with Polish tax regulations (VAT, CIT, PIT, etc.) and accounting standards.
Supporting the month-end and year-end closing processes, overseeing accuracy and deadlines in collaboration with the PLAION capital group.
Coordinating tax reporting processes, including preparation of complex VAT returns (JPK) and other statutory filings.
Acting as a senior point of contact and financial partner for internal departments, providing guidance on financial workflows.
Proactive participation in financial statement preparation and management reviews, offering analysis and recommendations.
Leading initiatives to optimize accounting processes and improve document circulation efficiency.
Mentoring junior team members and sharing knowledge to elevate the finance team’s standards.
REQUIREMENTS
Master’s degree in Finance & Accounting / Taxes or a related economic field.
Significant professional experience in independent accounting, including proven success in managing month-end/year-end closing processes.
Expert-level knowledge of Polish tax regulations and accounting standards.
Very high proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel), advanced experience with the SAP system will be a plus.
Fluent English (written and spoken) used daily in a professional environment.
Ability to work independently with a high degree of responsibility and proactive problem-solving skills.
Strong analytical mindset and an interest in process improvement.
