Project Manager - Horizon Europe

Following a series of newly awarded projects, AUSTRALO is growing its team. We are looking for a Project Manager who thrives at the intersection of research & innovation, business, and marketing, and who enjoys turning breakthrough science into real-world impact.
You will lead our delivery in three Horizon Europe projects, owning the Dissemination, Exploitation & Communication work from kick-off to final review.
Key Responsibilities
Manage three Horizon Europe projects, delivering on scope, schedule, and budget
Lead work packages, tasks, and deliverables in Dissemination, Exploitation & Communication.
Coordinate internal teams and external partners, keeping everyone aligned on requirements, deadlines, and milestones
Monitor and report on activities, results, and resource use, including periodic reporting to the European Commission
Represent AUSTRALO at consortium meetings and events across Europe
Build synergies and business opportunities within the European R&D ecosystem
Required Skills and Experience
Minimum 5 years of experience with European funding programmes (particularly Horizon Europe)
A degree in science, engineering, marketing, or business, or equivalent professional experience
Proven project management skills, with a strong record on deadlines and budgets
Excellent written and spoken English, and confidence presenting to diverse audiences
Strong problem-solving abilities and sound judgement in decision-making
Rigorous attention to deadlines and budgetary guidelines
Preferred Skills
Experience developing exploitation strategies (IP, business models, go-to-market)
Track record developing new EU proposals: concept development, partner scouting, and writing

A proactive, creative mindset and real curiosity for research and innovation

Two ways to join us
Employment contract for residents of Estonia: €48,000–58,000 gross per year
Full-remote freelance contract for EU residents: €240–325 per day (approx. €55,000–75,000 per year at full-time capacity)
