Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Cashier role based in the Greater Hyderabad Area. The Cashier will process customer transactions accurately, handle cash, card, and digital payments, and issue receipts. Daily responsibilities include greeting customers, answering basic product or service questions, maintaining a clean and organized checkout area, and following company procedures for returns and exchanges. The Cashier will balance the cash register at the start and end of each shift, report discrepancies, and adhere to all security and safety guidelines. The role also involves working closely with other team members to ensure smooth store operations and a positive customer experience.
Qualifications
Ability to handle cash, cards, and digital payments accurately, with basic math and numeracy skills.
Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills for interacting with a diverse customer base.
Attention to detail, reliability, and integrity when managing transactions and sensitive financial information.
Comfort working in a fast-paced retail or service environment, with the ability to stand for extended periods.
Basic computer or POS (point-of-sale) system literacy and willingness to learn new tools and processes.
Ability to follow standard operating procedures and store policies, including escalation of issues when needed.
Prior experience in a cashier, front desk, or customer-facing role is an advantage but not required.
High school diploma or equivalent education is preferred; openness to candidates with relevant skills and motivation.
